Sponsorship

The conference is sponsored by NSF, The University at Albany (SUNY), Williams College and the NYJM editors: Jerry Bona, Joe Rosenblatt, Birgit Speh, and Mark Steinberger.

Background

The NYJM is the first electronic journal of general mathematics. The papers are refereed and handled in the traditional manner. For more information on the NYJM, visit its electronic address at:

http://nyjm.albany.edu:8000/nyjm.html

The conference is organized with the purpose of advertising the NYJM in the broad mathematical community. At the conference, there will be plenary speakers as well as contributed talks throughout the week. There also will be ample time for more informal discussions and problem sessions.

Funding

The conference has very limited funding. Participants must be able to afford their own expenses. However, we anticipate to be able to help with the expenses of those participants without travel funds from their institutions or grants. There is no registration fee.
