We generalize the transfer theorem for global
fields proved in Chapter 20 of [FrJ08] to
a transfer theorem for finitely generated
extensions of global fields.
The main tool used in the proof is the
Artin-Chebotarev density theorem for the latter
fields, due to Serre [Ser65].
